Show Hall: This is a nonsmoking facility. The show hall is accessible. No alcoholic beverages allowed on the Fairgrounds.

Please bring your own cage. We are doing our best eliminate wire cages for exhibitor use. If you must have one, there will be a $10 surcharge. We will work with new exhibitors to get them what they need.

Recommended Airport: Show Hall is approximately 50 minutes from the Portland International Airport (PDX)

Show Rules: The show will be conducted in accordance with current CFA show rules. These may be downloaded for free online at https://cfa.org/cfa-manuals/, or purchased online at http://catalog.cfa.org/pubs.html#showrules or send $7.00 plus $2.00 postage from CFA, 260 East Main Street, Alliance, OH 44601. All entries in Championship (except Novice), Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens, recorded Household Pets, and registered cats competing as Household Pets with an Household Pet color class prefix will be scored for CFA awards. Owners of novices can contact the entry clerk for a temporary registration number. Rosettes and Ribbons will be awarded according to CFA show rules. No kitten under the age of four months will be allowed in the show hall. Blue slips may be required for proof of age.

Entries: Make checks or money orders payable in U.S. funds to the Emerald Cat Club. CFA show rules state that entry fees must be paid within 10 days after entering or the day of the show  whichever is first. There will be a late fee charge of $10 if payment is not made on October 15th or not postmarked by October 15th. Reasonable substitutions for no fee. E-mail entries will be accepted. Typed entries are preferred. Entry clerk will call or email for entry clarification. Paypal and Credit Card payment is available for this show. Health: No veterinary inspection will be required prior to benching. We is strongly advised that all cats or kittens entered or present in the show hall be inoculated before entry by a licensed veterinarian against feline panleukopenia (formally know a feline distemper or feline infectious enteritis), rhinotracheitis, calici viruses, and rabies. It is also strongly recommended that cats and kittens be tested and found negative for FeLV before entry. Front and back claws must be clipped before benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for entry. All cats are expected to be free of fleas, mites, and infectious illnesses.

Household Pets: Household pets are eligible only for awards in the Household Pet Class. Household pets are to be judged separately from all other cats, solely on beauty and condition. Wild cats or wild cat-domestic hybrid crosses are not eligible for entry. All Household Pets eight (8) months of age or older must be spayed or neutered.

Cages: A single cage space 21” x 21” x 21” is provided with each entry. A double cage space is 21” x 21” x 45”. You may purchase a double cage space for a single entry @$20. No more than one adult or two kittens per single cage space. The club is requesting that no grooming spaces be placed in the aisles. Please bring your own cage. We are doing our best to eliminate wire cages for exhibitor use.

Check-In & Show Hours: Check-in time will be 10:30am to 11:30 am. Show hours are from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm on Saturday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sunday. PLEASE HELP US GET THE SHOW DONE BY 2:00 PM. One benching request per exhibitor will be honored whenever possible. No benching changes are permitted without the permission of the show manager.

Food & Litter: Litter will be provided. Cat food as donated. Please bring your cat’s preferred food as well as dishes and litter pans. No People Food Service in the show hall. There will be scheduled lunch break each day.
